Murray Hogarth – Associate

Murray is a deeply experienced sustainability communicator. His award-winning early career as a newspaper and television journalist culminated with stints as an ABC TV Four Corners reporter and then Environment Editor with The Sydney Morning Herald. He has since spent over two decades working in overlapping roles as a corporate sustainability strategy consultant, environmental campaigner and cleantech startup entrepreneur. His key focus areas include sustainable business strategy, stakeholder engagement, the energy transition and effective communications to counter greenwashing and misinformation/disinformation. He has written two books with environmental themes, and has co-authored influential papers including Single Bottom Line Sustainability, Safe Companies and The End of Greenwash.

 

A regular blogger, Murray continues to write for online publications including The Fifth Estate, Climate & Capital Media and The Politics. He is an Industry/Professional Fellow with the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney.
